For assaulting Mrs. Kathleen Scanlon. Thomas Morgan, driver, aged 21, was fined £1 and ordered to pay costs in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, yesterday. Morgan was allowed one month in which to pay the fine. A charge of the theft of a purse and 11/(5 in cash from Mrs. Scanlon was dismissed. Mr. R. H. Boys appeared for defendant.
