Sydney, August 11. The Sydney Stock Exchange was in a better mood to-day with a healthy tone and a heavy turnover at recent firming rates for good class industrials. Australian Glass, however, lost ground. Broken Hill stocks continued steady.

Morning sales included: Tooheys Brewery, 31/6; Australian Gas, A, £7 9/6; Australian Glass, 95/-; Broken Hill Proprietary, 60/3, and corn, New Zealand delivery, 41/9; Dunlop Perdriau Rubber, 22/9; Electrolytic Zinc, 43/9.

On the Stock Exchange of Melbourne today the bond market was firmer with fewer sellers. Banks were well supported, particularly Nationals and Commercial of Australia.
