Sir Charles Warr, a member of the Federal House of Representatives, and Mr. 11. Landon Smith, both of Sydney, who are making a business visit to New Zealand as directors of New Zealand Forest Products Ltd., arrived nt Wellington from Auckland yesterday. The Hon. Adam Hamilton, Leader of the Opposition, who spent the weekend in Invercargill, returned to Wellington by the steamer express yesterday. He was accompanied by Mrs. Hamilton.
Mr. E. C. Cutten, Auckland, is visiting Wellington.
Mr. R. J. Mills, mayor of Mount Eden, Auckland, is visiting Napier.
Mr. M. J. Kilkelly, Invercargill, is paying a visit to Wellington. Mr. W. R. Carey, manager of the Kaiapoi Woollen Co., Ltd., left Wellington last night for the South Island.
Mr. Gage Campbell, Wellington, was a passenger for the north last night by the Limited express.
Mr. W. W. Mulholland, Dominion president of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, arrived at Wellington yesterday from the south.
Mr. D. J. Cummings, Commissioner of Police, returned to Wellington yesterday after visiting the West Coast and Christchurch. Mr. J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., chairman of the Railways Appeal Board, is presiding at sittings of the board in Dunedin.
Mr. Lester Brown, publicity manager, 20th Century Fox Film Corporation (N.Z.) Ltd., left, by the Rangatira last night on a business trip to Christchurch and Dunedin.
The Rev. K. D. Andrews-Baxter, formerly vicar of All Saints' Church, Dunedin, left Wellington last night by the Awatea with Mrs. Andrews-Baxter for Albany, Western Australia. Mr. M. A. Toomey, acting-managing director, 20th Century Fox Film Corporation (N.Z.) Ltd., left Wellington for Auckland by last night’s Limited express.
Mr. J. S. Barton, chairman of directors of the New Zealand Investment Trust Ltd., left Wellington for tire north by the Limited express last night. Dr. J. Aitken Paterson, Mount Albert, Auckland, arrived at Wellington witli Mrs. Paterson from the north yesterday and left last night by the Awatea on a holiday trip to the East. Mr. E. J. Tait, managing director of J. C. Williamson Ltd., arrived at Wellington from Sydney, via Auckland, yesterday, and left last night for the South Island. Mr. Gregory Koshnitsky, chess champion of New South Wales, who has been playing exhibition games and giving talks in Christchurch, arrived at Wellington yesterday by the steamer express.
