An injured left foot was received by Mr. 11. Porter, waterside worker, 1.95 Aro Street, Wellington, when an oil drum fell on it while he was working at Queen’s Wharf at 4.-15 yesterday nfternou. He was treated by a .doctor. The Wellington public library is to cooperate iu the inter-library book lending scheme initiated by the New Zealand Libraries’ Association, by resolution of the Wellington City Council last night. The scheme will enable a library not having a wanted book in stock to borrow it from a library in another centre.
