LORD BADEN-POWELL ON CRUISE

Need Of Scout Spirit London, August 8. Lord Baden-Powell, in spite of age and his recent severe illness, is determined to carry on his Scout work. He joined 440 leaders of the movement in the 17 days’ cruise in the Orduna, which left Liverpool bound for Iceland, Norway, Denmark and Belgium.

Lady Badcn-Powcll said that her husband would not leave the ship at any port, but would receive leaders of the movement on board. Lord Baden-Powell expressed the opinio nthat it is necessary to do the utmost to spread the Scout spirit when the world is in the midst of an unprecedented cgisis owing to intolerant national self-assertions.
