WOMEN’S HOCKEY

To-day’s Test Match Hockey of a high standard is expected to be displayed at the Basin Reserve this afternoon, commencing at 3 o’clock, when the English women’s and New • Zealand teams meet in the final Test of the tour. Keen enthusiasm will be taken in the match, as the New Zealanders are anxious to break the fine record of the visitors. The English women will field its strongest combination and the New Zealand team will be the same as that which plaved in the second Test at Wanganui last Saturday. A Vice-regal party will be present. The match will be played on No. 1, which is expected to be in good order despite recent rains. This match is the final of the English women’s tour. A curtain-raiser between AVellington and a representative Maori team' will bo plaved no No. 2 ground, commencing at 1.30.
