Arrests In Te Awamutu

Hamilton, July 7
A smart, arrest was made in Te lAwnmutu yesterday by Detective J. .Hayes, Hamilton, and Constables J. Forsyth and H. J. Carseldine, Te Awamutu, of two labourers who were interrogated in regard 'to a burglary comiraitted in Putaruru on June 25. The men were held’ in custody in Hamilton last night, and this morning appeared before Mr. G. K. Sinclair, J.P. The men were Walter Leonard Cooper, aged 35, labourer, and Leonard Frank Hayea, aged 30, labourer. Doth were charged with breaking and entering a shop in Putaruru and stealing goods to the value of £54. Both were remanded.
