Sir/ —Your- editorial to-day, .“Inconsistency and Insincerity,” is an indictment of the present Government that calls for an immediate explanation _as to whv the sales, tax has not been abolished and exchange removed in accordance with pre-election promises. The Government must, in fairness to electors, place all facts before the people. The whole system of taxes calls for overhaul. The times also call for a resurvey of the fields of taxation and the carrying out of pre-election promises concerning sales tax and exchange. “Sincerity is the basis of every virtue.” —I am, etc., GIVIS.
