A Question Of Divorce

Sir, —“Listener’s” defence of Mr. Roberts in this morning’s issue of your paper is not very convincing. Whether he said it humorously or not, Mr. Roberts said, as “Listener” admits, that divorce is often the result of private enterprise. Now, either Mr. Roberts meant this or be did not; if he did not, then he should not have said it; if he did; then,' as Mr. Aitken asks, he should, go further and explain just how a divorce can be attributed to private enterprise.—l am, etc., A. KENNARD. Wellington, July 5.
