Both fat cattle and fat. ewes were easier but tlie recovery of the store sheep market, after more than a month of lifeless bidding, more than offset these tendencies. 9’bere was a comparatively large entry ot' ItOtlO store sheep, of better titan average quality, ami a good clearance was effected. For the first time for five or six weeks there were no lines of sheep affected with facial eczema. Observed quotations were: — Best woolly ewe hoggets, to 26/6; medium ewe hoggets. IS/- to 21/6; best woolly wellier hoggets, to 19/9; medium Southdown hoggets, to 14/6: in-lamb fiveyear ewes, to 27/6: same, lacking condiliom 18/7 to 21/6: old ewes, down lo 11/7; best store wethers, to 24/9; good forward two-tooth wethers. 23/3 to 24/-.
