Hutt Valley Club Awards

The final table show of be cage bird section of the Hutt Valley Poultry, Pigeon, and Cage Bird Society was held at Petone on Friday night. Good entries were received arid there was a large gathering of the public. Several cups were presented to winners at previous shows. The canaries were judged by Mr. W. R. Dodd and Mr. N. Beck, and Mr. W. J. Elliott judged the budgerigars. Results were:— Canaries. yellow: L. W. Turvey 1, R. Bailey 2, J. A. Cunningham 3. Buff: R. Bailey 1 and 2, J. A. Cunningham 3. Norwich : Mrs. Edlin 1. Budgerigars. Greens: Mrs. R. Hull 1, R. W. Gilliand 2 and 3. Sky-blue: D. ayd A. Whitaker 1, E. J. Jones 2. 11. S. Sparkes 3. Cobalt: T. C. Prestidge 1, A. W. Freeman 2, E. J. Jones 3. Grey-wing greens: D. and A. Whitaker 1, J. A. R. Pollock 2, D. and A. Whitaker Grey-wing blue: D. and A. Whitaker 1, H. S. Sparkes 2, R. W. Gilliand 3. Any other colour: T. C. Prestidge 1, N. A. George 2, R. W. Gilliand 3. Yellow hens: T, C. Prestidge 1, E. Monks 2 and 3.

Any colour hens: E. J. Jones 1, E. Monks 2, N. A. George 3. Finches-: N. A. George. A cup for the best bird was won by D. and A. Whitaker, and Mrs. R. Hull won the cup for runner-up.
