SCHOFIELD—VOSS. The engagement is announced of Doris, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Vess, Tinui, to-Frank, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Syd. Schofield, “Ekenui,” Tinui. Presentation To Miss Carncross Miss Sybil Carncross, daughter of the Hon. Sir Walter Carncross and Lady Carncross, who has been head receptionist at 4ZB, Dunedin, for some months, resigned her position, and on Friday last was presented by the staff with an inscribed chromium and enamel dressing-table set. In making the presentation, Mr. L. J. Greenberg, station director, made appreciative reference to Miss Carncross’s many fine qualities and to he r popularity. Miss Carncross is visiting Wellington with her parents and will leave with them this’ morning for her home at Eltham.
