COLLISION WITH CAR

Two Men On Motor-cycle Injured Dominion Special Service. Waipukurau, April 4. Early this morning, while riding on a motor-cycle, Mr. G. McCormick, aged 21, and M r - G. Pratt, aged 24, both of Hastings, collided on the Takapau Road near Wtijiiukurau golf links with a car driven by Mr. John Dutton Powdrell, Welling- > ton. Both Mr. McCormick and Mr. Pratt received ipjuries, Mr. McCormick’s being serious, consisting of head injuries and a fractured right leg. Mr. Pratt suffered concussion and shock. Both men were admitted to Waipukurau Hospital. Mr. Powdrell .escaped uninjured.

CAR OVERTURNS

Driver Admitted To Hospital Waipukurau. April 4. . Mr. J. Erickson, baker, Daunevirke. was admitted to Waipukurau Hospital suffering from severe qpts and bruises as a result of ’bis car overturning on loose metal near Tikokino. The car was badly damaged.
