NGARURORO RIVER CONTROL WORK

Likelihood Of Dispute Being Settled Dominion Special Service. Hastings, April 4. It appears likely that the Ngaruroro River control work will be recommenced this week as a result of a discussion at a board meeting to-day between the hoard and the representative of the team owners employed on the work,; Mr. P. J. O’Brien. The' chief engineer to the board, Mr. G. Rochfort, will meet the men tomorrow and discuss the matter, and it is expected that the men will accept the offer. Failing a settlement of the trouble tomorrow a deputation from the board will wait on the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
