FRANK NEIL’S REVUE
Comedians And Instrumentalists “The Wonder Show of World Stars.’ , Frank Neil's review, is continuing to please ami amuse large crowds at the New Opera House. The calibre of the entertainment provided could not be better, and there is variety in plenty. Jim Gerald is just as humorous as ever in a series of sketches and interludes. Some of the sketches, including “The Nurse Maids,’’ “Shooting the Wife,” “The Test Match,” “The Fur Coat,” and “Posting a Letter ” are real highlights of the show. Ella Shields, well-known for her male impersonations and singing, is better than ever. She gives her famous rendering of “Burlington Bertie.” The singing Mexican. Don Galvan, is one of the most pleasing personalities to appear on a Wellington stage, and with his guitar and ready patter soon obtains and holds the interest of the audience. Many other acts of first rank and international flavour include Arne Hartman, a piano-accordion expert who mixes jazz with grand opera; Conrad Gautier with his amazing trained docs; Petillo and Tesco. Munro and the Adams sisters. Janetski. and IL S. Thompson; A pleasing and skilled bal.et puts the hallmark of excellence on the show. There will be a change of programme to-morrow.
