SEVERAL RECORDS BROKEN
Performances were well up to standard at the annual athletic sports of St. Patrick’s College, Wellington, on the Basin Reserve yesterday. The weather Was perfect, the track in excellent condition, and there was a large attendance of parents. The full programme was run well to schedule, and the events attracted large fields. Among the noteworthy performances was the jumping of N. Hastings, who set a new record for the long jump, under 15, with a jump of ISft. 9in. W. Hocquart, in the intermediate grade (under 16]) raised the long jump record of 18ft. 9}in., and in the high jump, under 16], set a new record at sft. 2]in. Mr. T. VV.
