SCHOOL CLASSROOMS

Proposed Increase In Size Supported At Napier

Dominion Special Napier, March 25. Support for the Government in its proposals to increase the size of school classrooms is given by the Napier branch of the New Zealand Educational Institute. It whole-heartedly supported the Minister of Education in his determination to increase the minimum size of the rooms to 24ft. 6in. by 26ft., thus providing additional space essential to success in modern methods of teaching. The following officers were elected: — President, Mr. N. H. Tunnicliff (Hastings Street School) ; vice-president. Miss A. C. Tebbs (Intermediate School).; secretary and treasurer, Mr. R. McMurray (Nelson Park School) ; auditor, Mr.- E. W. Mills, M.A. (Intermediate School) ; management committee, Miss D. Crumpton (Intermediate), Miss E. Munro (Hastings Street), Mr. R.
