Many and bitter were the complaints of housewives on the lower slopes of the city side of Mount Victoria yesterday over the grime that rained over the district from the destructor chimney. All day long the chimney belched forth far more than the usual supply of ash, grit and burnt paper, wpich was carried by the high, wind into every garden, yard and home.
