Prices Remain Steady Prices in 'Wellington provision markets remain steady. Fruit and vegetables, particularly in the offerings of apples, have shown a slight increase. Tomatoes were Selling cheaply yesterday at from 1/- to 2/1 a case. Following are ruling Wellington prices Fruit and Vegetables. Vegetables.—A case: Pumpkin, 2/6; marrows, 2/-; silver beet, 2/6-; beans, 2/to 10/6; cabbage, 2/6 to 3/-; carrots, 4/-; parsnips, 4/- to 8/-; beetroot, 1/-; swedes, 2/6; cucumbers, 1/6 to 2/6; spinach, 4/- to 7/9; lettuce. 9/- to 12/6. A wack: Peas. 8/- to 15/-; pumpkin, 5/to 7/-; cabbage, 8/- to 9/-; pie melon, 4/-; potatoes, , 6/- to 7/6. A dozen bunches: Leeks, 6/- to 7/6; carrots, 3/to 4/-; beetroot. 1/6 to 3/-; rhubarb, 4/- t0.5/-. Onions, 8/- to 11/- a cental. _ Fruit.—Tomatoes, ]/- to 2/1; quinces, a/6 to 8/-; peaches, 4/- to 5/6; Pitcairn oranges, 17/6 to 23/-; passion fruit, 5/6 to 6/9.
