Education Board’s Tribute

The death, of Mr. Lindsay Buick, C.M.G., the Wellington author, historian, and journalist, was referred to at yesterday’s meeting of the Wellington Education Board by the chairman, Mr. W. V. Dyer. Voicing the regret of the board, Mr. Dyer said Mr. Buick had left behind him works of inestimable value to students of early New Zealand and had made a splendid contribution to the public life of the Dominion. The board passed n motion of sympathy with Mr. Buick’s relatives and appreciation of his work.
