Unsteady Market At Feilding FAT SHEEP FIRM Dominion Special Service Feilding, January 28. Unsteadiness characterised the stock market at the Feilding sale to-day, when more I han 19.000 sheep were offered. A good' percentage of the entry was in excellent condition, but prices did not come up to expectations in many eases. Sales were made only by vendors meeting the market. Fat sheep wore firm at scheduled parity, with a few pens of extra prime sorts' milking several shillings above export rates. For cattle'the market was iiuiet hardly any run cattle changing hands and the usual entry of odd lots round buyers at late rates. The Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association offered a finall yarding of sheep and cattle at the Dannevirke sale on Thursday. The market lor lambs was firm and good quality rape lambs were in keen demand. Quotations were F and f. S.D. lambs, 16/- to 18/9: medium S.Di lambs. 13/3 to 15/-; good wether lambs. 15/6 to 18/-; smaller sorts, 10/- to 14/-; store ewes. 14/-. .
