Conference With Minister To Be Held PARTIES INVITED A conference of all the contributory local bodies to the Wellington Hospital Board’s building scheme, board members and hospital officers, is to be held with the Hon. P. Fraser, Minister of Health, at Parliament Buildings, on February 18, to discuss the board’s proposals. At last night’s meeting of the board, over which Mr. J. Glover presided, the following letter to the chairman from Mr. Fraser was received :— "In connection with your board’s building proposals, I desire to advise you that I have invited the membets of the contributory local bodies in your board’s district to meet me in conference at Parliament Buildings, at 8 p.m., on Friday, February 18, to discuss the proposals. “It is niv intention to have present at this conference the Director-General of Health, and other officers of the Health Department, and I desire to invite the attendance of yourself and the members of your board, together with your medical superintendent, matron, secretary, architect, honorary staff, and such other officers as you may desire to bring with you.” The letter was received without comment. No Further Discussion. In the building committee’s report, read by Mr. A. H. Carman (chairman); it was stated that the Department of Health had intimated that no further discussion could take place upon the building proposals until a further report, which was being prepared by the officers of the department, had been laid before the Minister. A similar letter from the Minister was received at last night's meeting of the Eastbourne Borough Council, and it was decided to attend the conference.
