Defeat Of Hawksworth And Miss Kerr Dominion Specl\l Servici Masterton. January 27. Sunny weather was enjoyed by the coin jietitors on the final day of the Wairarapa Lawn Tennis dissociation's annual tournament. The last match of the tournament was the final of the women's handicap doublebetween Misses Ward and Phelps uni. Mrs. Hawksworth and Miss Kerr, which resulted in a surprise win for the former pair after a dour display of rallying. Gue rally consisted of (14 strokes —mainly forehand drives. The result of the final of the handiest mixed doubles was another surprise Evans and Miss Rishworth comfortably defeated Hawksworth and Miss Kerr Evans returning the fiercest of Hawksworth's serves and smashes. His partner, Miss Rishworth, rose to the occasion and played a splendid attacking game, combined with gobd defence.
