Interest In Wanganui Dominion’ Special Service. Wanganui, January 27. The mechanised convoy of eight trucks and vans which left Wellington this morning for zLuckland, arrived at Wanganui shortly after 5 p.ni., via Palmerston North; and will continue their journey northward to-morrow, calling at Stratford and New Plymouth. Keen interest was taken by the public when the efficiency of the modern mobile units was demonstrated in the Drill Hall. To-night B Company of a composite battalion, under the command of Captain S. 11. Gould, co-operated with a special parade of the mechanised military units and the wide range of equipment was inspected.
