Championship Decided (Received January 28, 12.5 a.m.) Sydney, January 27. Another heat of the 18-footers’ sailing race championship of the world was sailed to-day on the harbour, some boats having to shelter during a heavy storm. Taree won from the Queensland boat Aberdare, with the New Zealander Irina third. Taree, with 510 points, despite the fact that there Is another heat on Saturday, cannot be beaten by Aberdare. with 254 points. Thus Taree wins the championship. Irina has 78 points. The other New Zealanders finished well in the rear, Riptide making the best showing.
