A PRESENTATION
Tennis Club Evening Mr. and Mrs. N. V. Edwards, who were recently married, were guests of honour recently at an evening given for them by members of the, Newtown Tennis Club. A large number of members assembled in the club-room and dancing and stmes continued until a late hour. During the serving of a tempting buffet supper Mr. L. Pollock, on behalf of the club, presented the guests of tlie evening with a folding dinner wagon and two sets of china ware, and wished them luck during their married life. All present sang “For They are Jolly Good Fellows,’’ after which Mr. Edwards thanked the members for their gifts and spoke of the pleasure it gave both himself and his wife to belong to the club. Mrs. Edwards was wearing a frock of green matalasse with trimmings of autumntinted wool flowers. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. H. Rickman. Misses D. Carson, M. Sinclair, I. Small, E.
