IMPERSONATION OF POLICE ALLEGED
Labourer Arrested At Show fDominion Special Service. Marton, January 26. Arrested on the Marton showground shortly before 5 p.m. to-day, Maurice O’Connor, labourer, aged 32, was later charged in the Magistrates’ Court, Marton, with theft and impersonating a police officer. On the application of DetectiveSergeant A. B. Micklejobn. O'Connor was remanded by Mr. R. M. Watson, S.M., to appear at Palmerston North, Police from Marton and Palmerston North on duty at the show were on the alert for undesirable characters, and earlier in the day hud occasion to order two men off the grounds.
