Saturday's Handicaps The Petone Whippet Racing Club's handicaps for Saturday’s meeting at Hutt Park are:— Improvers’ Handicap, all from scratcn. —Cuddle, Native King, The Piper. Galley Points Hair, 14 yds.; Sunshine Susie, —; Shy, 13; White Flash, *7; Hall Mark, 14; Flash Light, 14; King Fern, 13}; Gay Blonde, —; Blaek Dust, 9} ; El_Kuno, 12; Star Trail, 13; Pepper Lad, 7}. Lightweight Handicap.—Master Metor, 14yds.; Tui Fern, 8}; Fleet Foote, 14; Lady Fame, 14; Marabou, 9}; Lubra, 14. Second Class Handicap.—Mountain Fern, 14yds.; Tui Glen, 14; Silver Dust, 13}; Where, 13; Gold Reef, 14; Golden Shadow, 14 ; Flash Light, — ; Lady Fame, 14. Farewell Handicap.—Star Trail, 13 vards; Black Dust, 9}; Tui Fern, 14; King Fern, 13} ; White Flash, 7; Warrigal, 9. Second Class Hurdles. —Gay Blonde, 20 vards; Native King, 18; Mistress Dixie, 20; Miss Piper, 19}. Successes at Blenheim. Club dogs met with success at the Blenheim meeting. Mr. R. Nicholas’s Roamer Lassie won the first heat of the 200 yards maiden flat and Mr. R. S. Buck's Tui Glen was first in the third heat and final. In the £lO match race Mr. T. Magee's White Flash was second. Roamer Lassie was second in the final of the improvers’ handicap. Mr. A. Treweek’s King Fern and Mr. R. S. Buck’s Black Dust were first and second respectively in the first heat of the open fiat handicap, Black Dust winning the final. Mr. Magee's White Flash won the* final of the open hurdles handicap. At the Otorohanga Easter carnival £lOO is being offered in prize money for whippet races and good competition from the Petone club is expected.
