"Sunshine" Kindergarten The “Sunshine” Kindergarten, Khandallab, held a successful Christmas party recently, when Airs. Bollinger and her 20 pupils entertained a large number of parents and friends with a gay and varied programme of songs, games, plays, and Christmas carols. The hall was brilliant with large bowls of marigolds and Iceland poppies, these, with streamers and clusters of balloons, all carrying out the kindergarten colours of green and gold. A Christmas tree laden with gifts made by the children for their parents made an effective background for the circle . of bright little faces. When the little ones in their paper hats withdrew to another room for their “sit-down” tea, parents and friends were served with delicious home-ma'de cakes and sandwiches. Mrs. Bollinger was assisted by her little son and daughter and by her three sisters—Airs. Jerram and the Alisses Freda and Jean Brown. The Rev. C. E. Willis, Mrs. Willis, and family, have arrived in Wellington from England. x ,/ Airs. Helen Harris, of New Zealand, was elected a vice-president of the Women’s Secton of The Hague International Congress of Agriculture last June (says the “Countrywoman”). Her account of the work done by the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union aroused great interest among the delegates from other countries, and was yet another proof, if more be needed, of the immense value of international co-operation.
