Wairarapa Trades Council

Formed

Dominion Special Service.

Masterton, December 15.

The formation of a Wairarapa Trades Council was decided on at a meeting of union delegates held recently at Masterton. Mr. R. N. Shaw presided. The secretary of the Federation of Labour, Mr. F. Cornwall, was present, and explained the constitution of the federation. Officers were elected as follows:— President, Mr. R. N. Shaw; vice-presi-dent, Messrs. H. Nuttall and R. C. Jordan; secretary and treasurer, Mr. R. C. Jordan; management committee, Messrs. F. Cole, L. W. Ball, S. Hounslow, and R. Wilton. It was agreed the representative on the national council be elected when the national executive notified the council of the next meeting.
