STAY-IN STRIKE BY SHOP HANDS
Paris, December 14. All the big department stores and many of the smaller shops are occupied by stay-in strikers who are protesting against an alteration to the 40-hour week. - They intend to remain in the stores all night. Forty thousand people are involved in the strike, which it is feared will paralyse the Christmas trade.
