The Victoria Swimming Club held its weekly club night at Thorndon baths Inst night. Following are the results: —- Men’s 33 l-3yds. free-style handicap— First heat: Shannon, 1; Ryan, 2; Barnett, 3. Time, 18 2-5. Second heat: Johnstone, 1; McAlister, 2; Olive, 3. Time, 20 1-5. Final: Shannon, 1; Johnstone, 2; Barnett, 3. Time, 18 3-5. Women’s 33 l-3yds. free-style handicap—C. Ilefford, 1; S. Hefford, 2. Time, 26 2-5.
Men’s dive —Mathieson, 1; Ryan, 2; Hamilton, 3.
100yds. men's free-style.—Mathieson, 1 ; Ryan, 2; Johnstone, 3. Time, 69. 100yds. open handicap, breaststroke — Miss S. Hefford, 1 ; Meek, 2; O’Flynn, 3. 33 l-3yds. men's handicap backstroke— Shortall, 1: O’Flynn, 2; Johnstone, 3. Time, 29 2-5. The club will resume its training nights on January 19, 1938.
