Small Yardingis And Dull Sale At Feilding Dominion Special Service. Feilding, December 3. The Feilding stock t -ale to-day was dull in all sections. Weather conditions plus the wool market outlook combined to cause a lack of confidence in live stock. Every section of the‘sale was only lightly supported. Fat sheep: Hoggets made the best prices in this department, inquiry for ewes and wethers being very quiet. Best quality hoggets made 24/6 to 25/-, second grade 23/3 to 23/6, average weights 21/4 to 22/-, light from 19/7: best heavy wethers 24/6 to 25/6. medium prime 22/8 to 23/6; good ewes 20/- to-20/6. medium prime 18/6 to 19/9, lightweights 16/9 to 18/-, plain from 15/10, prime singles 24/3; lambs, 24/6. Store sheep: The continued dry weather influenced the demand considerably, buyers holding off. Good two-tooth ewes brought 29/- to 30/-, well-grown sorts 28/6 to 28/9, small from 25/10; twotooth wethers, 21/4 to 23/1. Fat cattle: All grades were down at least fl a head, the sale being very sticky. Choice P.A. heifers realised £7 2/6 to £7/15/-, average weights £6/12/6 to £7; light Jersey heifers £5/5/- to £6. others £4 to £5/2/6; Hereford cows t(> 10/- to £7/15/-; Jersey cows, best £7 12/6. medium sorts £6/7/6, light £5/5/to £5/15/-. Store cattle: A very small yarding, the entry consisting almost entirely of boner cows and a few short lines of station cattle. For the latter the demand was very uncertain. At the Carterton sale to-day Wright, Stephenson’s offered a fair entry of stock. Sheep sold at late rates. Bacoaers and porkers were firmer than last week, while weaners were the same. Dairy cows in milk sold fairly well, and fats and store cows were in good dcamand. Following are the prices:— Sheep: Fat b.f. wethers and medium ewes (shorn), to 25/-; shorn fat medium ewes, to 26/-; store ewes, to 24/4. Cattle: Cows in milk, £5/5/- to £7; springing Jersey heifers, £4/10/- to £5 15/-; 15 medium Jersey heifers, r.w.b., ro £5/5/-: yearling Jersey heifers, to £4 6/-; fat cows, £4/15/- to £6; forward cows, £2/5/- to £4/10/-; store cows, 25/to £2; 2-year Jersey bulls, to £7; potter bulls. £3 to £6/17/6. Pigs: Weaners, good. 18/- to 20/6; medium, 15/6 to 17/6; small, 12/- to 15/-; slips. 21/- to 23/6; store pigs. 25/- to 28/6; light porkers, 29/- to 32/6; porkers. 35/- to £2/7/-; baconers, £3/5/- to £3/10/-.
