New Economics Minister
(Received November 28, 9.30 p.m.) Berlin, November 26. It. is officially announced that Herr Hitler has relieved Dr. Schacht from his post of Minister of Economics, in which General Goering win act until January 15, when Herr Funk. Undersecretary of Propaganda, will take over the office. Dr. Schacht will remain President of the Reiehsbank and will also continue to be Herr Hitler’s personal adviser as Reich Minister without portfolio.
An official statement says Dr. Schacht was relieved of his post at his own request. Herr Hitler sent a letter thanking him for his services and expressing pleasure that he was remaining as president of the Reichsbank an/ Minister without Portfolio.
