STATUE OF EARL HAIG

Unveiling Ceremony

London, November 10. The unveiling by the Duke of Gloucester of the Haig Statue was an impressive ceremony. Representatives of the Empire included Mr. Sandford on behalf of Mr. W.Jordan, New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr. H. T. B. Drew on behalf of New Zealand soldiers, and Major E. Harston. The Duke of Gloucester paid a tribute to the former Commander-in-Chief’s services to his country during the war, and work in post-war years for the welfare of the men who had served under him.
