Successful Concert For School Funds In the presence of a large audience, which included the principal, Miss V. M. Greig, and members of the staff, the pupils of Wellington Girls’ College presented a most successful concert at the Blue Triangle Hall last night. The proceeds are in aid of school funds. The programme was as varied as it was entertaining and included two oneact plays, instrumental duets, drill, dances, part-songs and plastic poses. The first item was a piano and violin duet, “Hejre Kati” (Jeno Hubay), by S. and P. Craig. A drill display by the senior pupils was followed by a dance by Joan Raine and the school choir (A) were heard in two partsongs, “Nymphs and Shepherds” (Purcell) and “Still as the Night” (Bohm). A demonstration of plastic poses was given by the girls of Form 5. “Mila for Sale,” by Sacha Guitry, a most, amusing comedy, was presented by the College Drama Club, the performers being E. McEwan, M. Ruxton-Mander, E. Coldstream, B. Sherwood and B. Easther. The drama club also performed “Wayside War,” by M. Napier, the players being J. Purvis, B. Lloyd. S. Bruce, K. Baker and M.
