Benefit For Lower Hutt Free Kindergarten
The Paddy’s market held at Moera Community llall on Saturday in aid of the Lower ' Hutt Free Kindergarten funds was a success in every way. The nunKTOUs well-stocked stalls did excellent tsade and In the afternoon the Municipal Band played selections. The stall-holders were: Plain, fancy and novelty, Mesdames Wilson, Baker, Pointer; cake stall, Mesdames Leggott and Davis; produce stall, Mesdames Burns and Coutts; sweet stall, the principal of the kindergarten, Mrs. 11. Atkins, and her assistants, Miss K., Wall and G. Middleton; toffee-apple and icecream stall, Mesdames Stevens and Dixon; afternoon tea, Mesdames H. Baldwin and Campbell; side-shows, Mr. Jeffries. The committee responsible was: Mr. H. Baldwin, chairman, Mr. S. Kay, secretary, and Mesdames Murray, Pointer, Stevens, Burns, Dixon, H. Baldwin, Reid, Cook, and M. Campbell. ’The winners of the competitions were J/rs. Phillips, Miss June Pointer, Mrs. Fairclough, and Mr. Tait.
