Withdrawn For “Political Reasons” INTIMATION TO PUBLISHER By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. (Received August 5, 10.45 p.m.) London, August 5. The .“News Chronicle” says Haile Selassie's memoirs, including his personal account of the Abyssinian war and the events leading up to it and since last autumn, have been withdrawn for “political reasons.” The London publisher, Mr. Michael Joseph, to whom Haile Selassie was under contract, said Selassie’s solicitors informed him that for political considerations that could not lie revealed he would be unable to publish the manuscript. Mr. Joseph added: “Haile Selassie's decision is not due to political pressure but to advice received from his political advisers.’’
