WEDDING

Judd—Lowry Miss Berenice Maxine (Berry) Lowry, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Lowry, 26 St. Albans Avenue, Lower Hutt, was married at St. James’s Church, Lower Hutt, on a recent evening, to Mr. Albert Louvain Judd, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. George Judd, Tane, Pahiatua. The Rev. N. E. Winhall, Plimmerton, performed the ceremony and the wedding music was played by Miss B. B. Harte. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of ciel pink satin. Small flowers of the satin were arranged at the waist-line and a small spray of orange _ blossom was tucked in at the bottom of the collar. The skirt formed a large train with a spray of orange blossom in the centre. The pink chantilly lace veil, embroidered with sprigs of lilies, was caught with a coronet of pink orange blossom, and her bouquet was pink cyclamen with touches of blue, and was tied with sunshine ribbon. The bridesmaids were the Misses Rita Goodie (chief), and Sybil Lowry, whose frocks were of cornflower blue cloque with pointed neck lines and high waists. They wore wreaths of deep pink flowers on their heads and carried bouquet's of the same shade of cyclamen. The best man was Mr. Reg. Richards, Masterton, and the brother of the bridegroom, Mr. Clarence Judd, was groomsman. Messrs. G. Armstrong and J. Judd acted as ushers. The church was beautifully decorated by friends of the bride, a feature being a large bell decorated with pink and blue flowers. There were more than, 120 guests at the reception and dance, held in the Horticultural Hall, where Mr. and Mrs. Lowry received their guests.’ The. bride’s mother was dressed in a floral frock, green coatee, and’plum hat and coat, and the bridegroom’s mother was in navy, georgette. The tables were decorated in pink, and the large fourtier cake was also in pink. ‘; When Mr;, and Mrs. A. L. Judd left for a motor tour of the North Island, the bride travelled in a bottle-green dress, hat and coat, with accessories to match. Their future home will be at Tane, Pahiatua.
