BOXING TO-NIGHT
To-night at the Town Hall the Wellington Boxing Association will the most attractive match offered _ thi» season, when Jack Jarvis, Dominion champion, will meet Young O fifteen rounds. These two are the OU - standing lightweights in New Zea and. Jarvis is endowed with all the qualities which are necessary in the make-up ot a successful champion and that he « a worthy title-holder is evident by the fact that lie has been unbeaten in a title contest for two vears. The spectacular Gildo will be making his second appearance :n Wellington. Enthusiasts who were ,ortunute enough to see the masterly manner in which he disposed of Clarne Rayner in 14 rounds will appreciate ms calibre. Both men are reported to be in first-class fettle—-the tuning up to make list. 91b. under penalty being in itselt an assurance that each contestant will take the ring fighting fit. Arrangements have been made to have the members of the Springbok team at the ringside, and opportunity will be taken .to introduce them in the audience in their first public appearance in Wellington. The amateur preliminaries will be: H. Foote v. J.Treanor; W. Luddon v. W. Giles; T. Dunn y. J. Hansen; L. Edney v. L. Aicken (Johnny Leckie’s prospect).
