Star Points and Rules
Star points are awarded In special competitions, and every week for the contributions, in each of the following sections. Every contribution MUST be original. NOT copied 1 For the best story. For the best poem. For the best drawing of any size. For the best literary sketch, paragraph of interest, or letter. For the best illustrated poem, story or sketch. Each contribution MUST be original and have the sender’s name, age and address, and pen-name upon it. Drawings must be in pencil or Indian ink, and all stories and poems must be in ink, with a margin on one side of the paper only. MAILBAG CLOSES ON WEDNESDAYS I Members of 12 and under are juniors, and those of over 12 are seniors. The rules and competitions for both seniors and juniors are the same, with this difference: A star point will be awarded for the best junior entries in each section as well as for the best senior ones. When you have five points, or a star, you have won a prize. But prizes arc only awarded twice a year—at Christmas and at winter-time, in June. So that if you win a star before then you may start over again and possibly win two or three prizes.
