To Be Married In China
Miss Eileen Pope, Garden Road, will leave Wellington by the XX r anganella next week for Sydney, en route to China, where her marriage to Dr. Reo F. Fortune will take place. Dr. Fortune is occupying a temporary position at the Lingnau University in Canton, where he is establishing a department of sociology and anthropology. Miss Pope was a popular teacher at the XX’ellington Girls’ College for four years, and has travelled extensively abroad. She has been the guest of honour at numerous farewell gatherings during the past few weeks.
