NON-ATTENDANCE AT UNION MEETINGS
Summonses Issued For Recovery of Fines Summonses have been issued by a Wellington trade union with a, large membership against a number of members for the recovery in each case of 2/6, representing the fine imposed on the members concerned for their absence, without reasonable excuse, from a general meeting of members. This fine is imposable under the rules of the majority of trade unions. Some of the persons summonsed are women.
