Wyatt’s Double Century London, July 27. The outstanding batting performance in the series of county cricket championship matches which was completed to-day’ was that of Wyatt (Warwickshire), who carried his bat for a double century. In the same innings Dollery made 165. Centuries were also made by Fishlock (Surrey). Barber (Yorkshire), and Allen (Gloucestershire). Gover (Surrey) was again prominent among the bowlers, others with good figures being Clay (Glamorgan), who took five for 85 and eight for 45, Mitehell (Derbyshire), and Bowes (Yorkshire). Results are:— Surrey v. Kent, at the Oval. —Surrey. 482 (F.ishlock 107) and 32 for none. Kent, 289 (Bryan 89 not out) and, following on, 224 (Gover seven for 93). Surrey won by ten wickets. Warwickshire v. Lancashire, at Birmingham.—Lancashire, 261 (Washbrook 76) and 226 for eight wickets. Warwickshire. 475 for eight wickets, declared (Wyatt 201 not out, Dollery 165). Warwickshire won on the first, innings. Essex v. Glamorgan, at Llanelly.— Essex, 235 (Clay five for 85) and 110 (Clay eight for 45). Glamorgan. 337 (E. Davies 90. Smart 85) and 11 for none. Glamorgan won by ten wickets. Hampshire v. Worcestershire, at Bournemouth. —Hampshire, 215 (Moore 90; Warne six for 60) and 212. Worcestershire, 215 (Heriniin live for 69) and 18S (Hill four for 39). Hampshire won by 84 runs. Yorkshire v. Gloucestershire, nt Bristol.—Yorkshire, 316 (Turner 84: Lyon live for 72) and 273 for four, declared (Barber 107 not out). Gloucestershire. 256 (Allen 102: Smailes four for 40) and 214 (Crnpp 82: Bowes five for 36). Yorkshire won by 119 runs. Sussex v. Northamptonshire, at Kettering.—Sussex, 251 and 193. Northamptonshire, 181 (Hammond live f 50) and 226. Sussex won by 35 runs.
Derbyshire v. Nottinghamshire. at. ('he ■ feitielil. — I h’lby- h fe.-332 for nine, declared (Skinner 72). Nottinghamshire, 120 (Mitchell four for 51) and. following on. 189 (Mitchell six for 7-1). Derbyshire won by tin innings and 23 runs.
