LOVELY LOCKS
Nature Wins the Day “English girls,” says a recent arrival from that country, “are letting themselves slip back to normal in every way that before was a futile exaggeration. Frocks are simple, make-up secondary to natural colouring, and •hair (this is the great belief) is allowed to bloom uncensured in its rightful shade. Tinting has gone completely out of fashion. Brassy locks are tabu; the platinum head belongs only to a shuddered dream. The country mouse has come to town, and rested its sleek brown head upon tlie shoulder of fashion. But don’t for an instant imagine that the girls of England do not care for their looks. They do, with fervour. Brushing and shampooing and a judicious briga.ening rinse are giving back the tones of natural health; and what a tremendous improvement it is. One hears that the brownette is Hollywood’s darling! Perhaps—but scorn the reflection; and appreciate the fact!”
