PARIS HOTEL DISPUTE SETTLED

Six-day Forty-hour Week Paris, July 21. The hotel dispute has'been settled. The 40-hour week will be spread over six days a week until November 1. A general strike of hotel, cafe, and restaurant employees in Paris was decreed on July 10, following the refusal of the proprietors to adopt the five-day week. Only 6000 of the 42,000 restaurant workers obeyed the union’s strike order, and only 32 cafes were closed. All hotels were able to serve their customers.
