AUCKLAND WINTER SHOW
Further Postponement Dominion Special Service. Auckland, July 16. A continued heavy influx' of shipping to the port has compelled the Auckland Harbour Board to alter the dates allotted for the holding of the Auckland Winter Show in its shecta ou Central Wharf. It had been anticipated that the show would open on August 4 and run for the following 10 days, but it was announced today that it had now been found necessary to postpone the show for two weeks so that it would now be held from August 18 to 28. Originally the. show was set down for the period from July 14 to 24, but the large volume of shipping due to arrive at that time made it necessary for the harbour board to cancel those dates and rearrange them for August 4 to 14. It was hoped then that no further interruption to the show arrangements would take place, but the rush of imports has made it necessary for the board to retain control of the sheds for a further period.
