GUARANTEED PRICE

Company Chairman on Expected Increase

By Tclcgrapu-- Press Association. Whangarei, July 16. While some quarters estimate the iierease in the guaranteed price this eason at about 3d. per pound, Mr. F. Elliott, chairman of directors of the ilikurangi Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., at the annual meeting yesterday, considered the Government would give favourable consideration to increasing the price, and that dairy suppliers would get something like Id. extra. He did not expect a decision until Mr. Nash returned. He also anticipated that the Government at an early date would take control of the marketing of butter within New’ Zealand.

Mr. Elliott made it clear that his estimate was purely an individual assumption, but it was based on good data.
