PIONEER’S FIRST FLIGHT
Mrs. W. Guthrie, Havelock North Dominion Speclxi. Service. Hastings, July 16. One of Hawke’s Bay’s early piomlers, Mrs. IV. Guthrie, Havelock North, who is over 80 years of age, made her first aeroplane flight yesterday, when she was taken up by Mr. 11. Edwards, Wellington, in a Miles Whitney. "It was just wonderful, mid I enjoyed every minute of it,” said Mrs. Guthrie after landing. This wouldn't be her last flight, she said.
