ATLANTIC FLIGHT
Merrill Nears England (Received May 11, 1.10 a.m.) London, May 10. ' The airman, Richard Merrill, who is making a round-trip Hight across the Atlantic to take back to America photographs of the Coronation, sent a wireless message to Croydon at 11.15 a.m. to-day reporting that he was 100 miles off the Irish coast. An earlier message from New York stated that Eastern Airlines, Ltd., lost contact with Merrill at 3.15 a.m. today, when he reported that he was over half-way to England. (Earlier message, page 9.)
